WHY GOATS MILK?

Why Choose Goat Milk?

Goat milk, in its raw form, is an excellent, sweet-tasting alternative to cow milk. If you’ve tried store-bought goat milk before, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the difference in taste; raw goat milk is nothing like the processed version found on store shelves.

What Makes Goat Milk Special?

  • No "Bucky" or "Goaty" Taste: Raw goat milk tastes similar to cow milk for most palates, without the strong "bucky" or "goaty" flavors often associated with processed products.

  • Historical Use: For thousands of years, goat milk has been a preferred substitute for breastmilk and is used to nurture orphaned puppies, kittens, piglets, calves, and foals due to its gentleness on sensitive stomachs.

  • Allergy-Friendly: Many people with cow's milk allergies can digest goat milk because it lacks the A1 casein protein responsible for allergies in cow milk. Instead, goat milk contains the more easily digestible A2 casein protein.

  • Lactose-Intolerance Friendly: If you're lactose intolerant, you might still be able to enjoy goat milk. It contains less lactose than cow milk, and in its raw form, it includes enzymes and probiotics that aid digestion.

  • Natural Homogenization: Goat milk is naturally homogenized, meaning its fat globules are smaller and slower to separate, so you don’t have to shake the milk before use. This also makes it easier to digest.

  • Nutrient-Rich: Goat milk is higher in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and Vitamin A compared to cow milk.

Try Before You Buy

We invite you to take home a free sample of milk to try before purchasing a share or requesting to be placed on our waiting list. In our experience, fresh raw goat milk lasts at least three weeks in the refrigerator. As with all perishable items, especially dairy products, always keep the milk refrigerated and do not leave the jars out on the counter.
